Boothbay Harbor is a darling of a seaside resort, located 15 minutes from Wiscasset. A popular yachting destination, Boothbay is home to numerous quaint restaurants, bars, and shops.

To Eat:
Mine Oyster – wood fire-grilled seafood, steaks, and more, often with live music late night on the waterfront dock

Boat House Bistro – best known for its risotto and fresh seafood

Shannon’s Unshelled – lobster rolls, lobster rolls, and more lobster rolls. When in Maine…

Ports of Italy – listed as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in Maine by Maine Magazine

The Lobster Dock – select your own lobster and watch as they get prepared in their outdoor cooking pots. Their crabcakes were featured in Throwdown by Bobby Flay.

Boothbay Craft Brewery & Watershed Tavern – Boothbay’s only local craft brewery, stop by to enjoy an ale or a few in a revolutionary style tavern setting.

Boating – Boothbay has tons of charter opportunities, depending on what you want to see. Top charters include Cap’n Fish’s Cruises (whale watches and puffin cruises), Schooner Eastwind (lighthouses and islands), and Cabbage Island Clambakes (island hopping with a clambake).

Lighthouses – Maine is known for its innumerable lighthouses dotting its coast. Some local ones to note and visit are Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Burnt Island Light Station, and Cuckold Lighthouse.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens – nice garden area to walk around with sculpture, meditation, and manicured gardens, we actually considered having our wedding here

Coastal Maine Popcorn Company – over 30 flavors of fresh-popped corn, spanning the traditional (caramel, cheddar), to the unconventional (Maine Maple, s’mores, New England berries)
